Kootenai County Property Assessments

Every three years your property is visually assessed by a county 'appraiser'.  Every year, your property's assessed value changes according to market conditions (appreciation, depreciation, etc).  To be on the ball, you should check the assessed value of your property annually.  Yes, you'll get a statement in the mail - unfortunately, you'll only have a couple of weeks to appeal the value of your property if you wait for the county to mail it to you.  Instead, you can check your assessed value online.  Here's how:
